YMCA Reading is a registered charity that has been active in Reading since 1846, making it one of the oldest YMCAs in the world. Its primary service is providing quality supported accommodation to around 40 of Reading's most vulnerable 18 to 25 year olds who would otherwise be homeless, with housing accessed via referral from Reading Borough Council. The charity provides critical foundations for a fresh, strong start for young people, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for independent living.
