Verified

Valley House (registered charity no. 1074539) was founded in 1977 by local volunteers in Coventry's Stoke Heath community with support from the council, and continues to work under the vision that everyone should have genuine opportunities to respond confidently to the challenges of life.

What we do

Valley House's core service is Safe and Supported Accommodation for survivors of domestic abuse, including families, single people and men fleeing abuse, alongside a dedicated Complex Needs service for survivors also managing mental health difficulties or drug and alcohol use. Its REACH Peer Support Service provides mental health support for adults aged 18 and over, a small on-site nursery cares for children aged six weeks to five years, and the charity provides court support for clients involved in the criminal justice system.

Valley House holds a Gold "Thrive at Work" wellbeing award, a Silver Carer Friendly Employer Award, and Coventry Landlord Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) certification for its accommodation standards.

Who we support

Valley House supports survivors of domestic abuse of all genders aged 16 and over, and people with complex mental health and substance misuse needs, across Coventry and the surrounding area.
