Trinity Winchester began life in 1986 as a drop-in centre on the grounds of Winchester Cathedral and became Trinity Winchester in 2005, marking 40 years of work in 2026. The charity, now based at Bradbury House in Winchester, supports over 650 people a year affected by homelessness, domestic abuse and other forms of vulnerability, and has supported more than 10,000 people over its history.
What we do
Trinity Winchester's core offer is drop-in day-centre support, including food provision for around 50 people a day, alongside street outreach to people sleeping rough. Its "Learning4Life" programme provides employment and training support to help people move toward independence. A dedicated Women's Service supports around 150 women a year, providing advice and counselling to those affected by domestic abuse and other forms of vulnerability.
Historically the charity has also run a Tier 2 drug service and a drop-in service in Basingstoke, both of which have since been consolidated or discontinued as Trinity Winchester's work has focused on its Winchester base.
Who we support
Trinity Winchester supports chronically excluded rough sleepers, care leavers and low-income adults needing housing, employment or training support, as well as women experiencing domestic abuse or other vulnerability, across Winchester, Hampshire.
