Who Transform Housing & Support are

Transform Housing & Support is a charity and registered provider of social housing based in Leatherhead, Surrey. It has been running for more than 50 years and describes itself as the largest supported housing provider in Surrey, dedicated to preventing homelessness. It is a company limited by guarantee (01057984), registered charity 264133, registered with the Regulator of Social Housing (H2452) and with Ofsted (2791302) for its young people's provision. Over five decades it has supported more than 30,000 people, and today it provides housing and support for between 1,600 and 2,000 people every year.

Accommodation and support services

The core service is supported housing in shared houses, hostels and self-contained flats for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, with accommodation for around 800 people at any one time. Every resident has a keyworker who agrees a support plan with them and provides one-to-one help. Support levels range from 24-hour staffed schemes for people with complex needs through to low-support and housing-management-only services, with stays classed as short term (up to two years) or long term. Alongside this the charity runs Housing First services, housing-related floating support to people in their own homes, temporary accommodation for homeless households referred by local councils, sheltered housing for older people in Reigate and Crawley, and a CQC-rated homecare service in mid Surrey. Services are delivered in a trauma-informed way, tailored to each person.

Where they work and who they support

Transform operates across Surrey, the London Borough of Sutton, and parts of Berkshire and West Sussex, with local offices or schemes in Elmbridge, Farnham, Guildford, Reigate, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Sutton and Epsom, Woking (Pound House and The Crescent) and Wokingham. Client groups include single homeless adults including those with multiple and complex needs, young people aged 16 and over including looked-after children and care leavers, young mothers and babies, unaccompanied young asylum seekers, people with mental health issues, people recovering from substance misuse, people with a history of offending, people with learning disabilities and older people. In 2024/25 the charity reported that 82.3% of clients moved on positively, with an average client satisfaction score of 85.8%.
