The Brick, part of Queen's Hall Action on Poverty, is an anti-poverty and homelessness charity based in Wigan, Greater Manchester, running emergency accommodation, street outreach and prevention services across the Wigan and Leigh borough.

Services

The Brick's accommodation arm, Brick Homes, provides emergency beds including a dedicated trauma-informed hub for young people aged 17-25 alongside supported housing across several houses in Wigan and Leigh. Brick Engage delivers street outreach from early morning into the evening, including an emergency out-of-hours helpline and a "No Second Night Out" contact point for people new to rough sleeping. The charity's Pathfinder programme provides prevention-focused coaching for 16-35 year olds across Greater Manchester, and its Water Street site runs tenancy sustainment support, skills and volunteering opportunities, and a food bank and crisis triage service.

Who they support

The Brick supports people who are homeless, rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness across Wigan and the wider Greater Manchester area, including young people, and works closely with the local council and other agencies on rapid response and prevention.
