SPEAR (Single Persons Emergency Accommodation and Resettlement) is a homelessness charity founded in the mid-1980s, working to end homelessness across South West London, registered as SPEAR Housing Association Limited and based in Twickenham.

Services

SPEAR runs street outreach, assessment hubs, supported accommodation including 24-hour staffed hostels, and tenancy support services helping people move off the streets and into safe, secure housing. Its model is trauma-informed and person-centred, aiming to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurring across the boroughs it serves.

Who they support

SPEAR supports adults experiencing or at risk of homelessness across South West London, including people sleeping rough and residents of its supported hostel accommodation, many of whom have complex needs requiring sustained, personalised support.

Working at SPEAR

SPEAR employs outreach workers, hostel support workers and tenancy support staff across its South West London services, alongside fundraising and corporate roles, and offers a benefits package including enhanced annual leave, an employee assistance programme, life assurance and season ticket loans.
