NOAH Enterprise is a Luton-based charity that has spent 38 years supporting people affected by homelessness and extreme poverty across Luton and Central Bedfordshire. Working from its Welfare Centre on Park Street in Luton, NOAH takes a whole-person approach, helping people before they become homeless as well as once they are on the streets, and staying involved after someone has moved into permanent accommodation or found work.

Services and support

The Welfare Centre is the hub of NOAH's day-to-day work: hot meals, medical and dental care, drug and alcohol support, laundry facilities, clothing, and a night shelter for people with nowhere else to go. Alongside this, NOAH runs street outreach, including a dedicated rough sleeper outreach service across Central Bedfordshire, to find and support people sleeping rough before crisis point.

NOAH is a Living Wage Foundation employer and a member of NACCOM, the national network of accommodation projects for people with no recourse to public funds. Its values of Care, Compassion and Commitment run through recruitment, and the charity actively encourages applications from people with lived experience of homelessness or disadvantage.

Typical roles at NOAH span frontline outreach and welfare centre work, education and training such as ESOL and digital skills tutors, and the retail and fundraising side of the charity. It is a small, close-knit organisation where staff work directly with people experiencing some of the most difficult circumstances in the area.
