New Start is a Merseyside charity providing supported housing, residential care and homelessness support services across Liverpool, working with adults facing homelessness, addiction recovery, and refugees, alongside residential care for children and young people.

Services

New Start runs a range of named supported housing and recovery projects including the Harmony Project, the Women's Recovery Service, the RISE Recovery Step-Down service, and the New Roots Refugee Project, providing supported accommodation and move-on support for people rebuilding their lives after homelessness, addiction or displacement. The charity also operates residential children's homes — Brook Cottage, Harrow House and Spencer House — supporting vulnerable children and young people separately from its adult homelessness and recovery services.

Who they support

New Start's adult services support people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, people in recovery from substance use, women needing a dedicated recovery pathway, and refugees resettling in the Liverpool area, alongside its separate children's residential care provision.
