Encompass (East Northants Community Services, ENCS) is a Christian-founded charity supporting people facing poverty, homelessness and addiction in East Northamptonshire. It began as an operational arm of the East Northants Faith Group before growing into an independent charity in its own right, and its stated mission is to enable disadvantaged people to live independent and fulfilled lives — supporting individuals through the immediate challenges of homelessness, addiction, food poverty and isolation, then helping them make positive, longer-term life choices.
What they do
Encompass provides emergency food and crisis support to people in the East Northamptonshire area, alongside wider work addressing homelessness, addiction and isolation. The charity's work is underpinned by the values of Support, Acceptance, Compassion, Honesty and Hope, and it relies on a mix of paid staff and a significant volunteer base to deliver its services.
Working at Encompass
Roles at Encompass sit within a small, mission-driven local charity where staff work alongside volunteers on food and crisis provision and on longer-term homelessness, addiction and isolation support. The charity publishes any current paid vacancies on its own website; there are no live paid roles at the time of writing, but positions are added there when they arise.
