Who DASH Are
DASH (Durham Action on Single Housing) is a charity that has worked to prevent and relieve single homelessness in County Durham since 1972. It is a registered provider of social housing and is developing a general-needs housing subsidiary, Kepier Homes, alongside its core homelessness work.
Services
- Supported housing with 24/7 staffing, including a dedicated project for vulnerable women with complex needs
- Accommodation, personalised support and enhanced housing management for people with mid-to-high support needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness
- Properties across County Durham, including supported accommodation in Dragonville and Annfield Plain
Working at DASH
Roles include support work delivered on a shift rota covering evenings, weekends and nights, as well as back-office functions such as HR and finance. DASH describes itself as a small, growing charity looking for compassionate, resilient staff able to work with a challenging client group.
