Who Cranstoun Are
Cranstoun is a national charity that has been supporting people to rebuild their lives for over 50 years. It works across England from bases including Maidenhead (its headquarters town), Birmingham, Sandwell, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Wokingham, Sutton, Oxfordshire, Derby and Wakefield, delivering services in substance use, criminal justice, domestic abuse and housing/homelessness.
Services
- Drug and alcohol treatment services, including a key-worker caseload model, harm reduction, naloxone and needle exchange
- Domestic abuse intervention work, including perpetrator programmes
- A Housing First programme supporting people with the most complex needs into settled accommodation
- Services for children and young people, and prison-based drug and alcohol support
In 2024/25 Cranstoun reports supporting over 34,000 adults, children and young people. It holds Disability Confident, Living Wage Employer and Police Industry Charter accreditations.

Roles span frontline key worker and triage/administrator positions through to team leader, operations manager and senior leadership posts. Several current employees originally came to Cranstoun as service users, and the charity emphasises reducing harm and facilitating positive change.
