Barnabus is a Christian charity founded in 1991, working with adults experiencing homelessness across Greater Manchester. What began as a sandwich round from a donated double-decker bus has grown into a full support service based at The Beacon, Barnabus's dedicated support centre in Manchester city centre.
The Beacon provides warm meals, showers, fresh clothing, on-site NHS medical care and one-to-one support, alongside a dedicated Housing and Resettlement Project that helps people move from the streets into stable, settled accommodation. Barnabus also delivers confidential one-to-one support and runs a network of church partnerships that provide volunteers and practical help.
